A: An 8oz. butane canister can burn on high for about 1.25 hours. While a 1lb propane tank can last 1.5 hours on high heat. If you are going camping in winter or in a chilly area, you have to use propane over butane gas.

1>If you want to use propane gas, the stove can ONLY be used outdoors.
2>Must be used on a stable and even surface to prevent falling over and creating an accident.
3>Remove the canister when not in use to avoid butane leaks.
4>Camping stoves have a built-in mechanism that does not lock the canister until the dial is in the closed position. Make sure the butane tank is installed correctly and locks the tank in place to prevent unwanted leaks.
